Yorkshire Water launches 20-site AI water-quality programme

A two-year collaboration will test timely bacterial-risk information across different inland water environments.

The story

Yorkshire Water announced the start of a two-year collaboration across 20 sites. The programme combines frequent sensor readings with laboratory sampling to develop bacterial-risk predictions and test whether learning from one location can help at another.

The programme is supported by the Ofwat Innovation Fund through the Water Breakthrough Challenge 5 Catalyst stream.
