Digital Reader
UnifAI Technology’s Digital Reader improves the performance of Lateral Flow Devices (LFD) using smart phones and cloud-based AI.
The solution turns otherwise analogue and siloed lateral flow tests into digital and connected tests, enabling a real-time ‘digital epidemiology platform’ which integrates all test results in real-time for mapping and analytics. This gives deep real-time insights into the spread of the disease, and the real-time health status of your employees mapped to critical locations and functions.
This capability was selected by UKHSA in a competitive process and is the only such capability currently authorised for use by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) under an Exceptional Use Authorisation. It can be used with any lateral flow test or other point of use diagnostic tool.
“In conclusion, we have demonstrated that the LFD digital reader outperforms human readers in the accurate interpretation of SARS-CoV-2 LFD tests, has high usability and provides a net cost benefit to the use of LFD in community testing, meaning it will save money over the short, medium and long term. We recommend it should be immediately implemented in all settings that use lateral flow devices.”
