Digital Reader supports Birmingham research into simpler MGUS monitoring

A research collaboration is exploring connected test interpretation for monitoring people at risk of multiple myeloma.

UnifAI Technology's Digital Reader is being used in a University of Birmingham project developing a lateral flow test to monitor people with MGUS, a condition that can precede multiple myeloma.

The project aims to make monitoring monoclonal protein levels simpler and more convenient, with the potential for more frequent testing. Digital Reader supports interpretation of the test image and a recorded result for review.

Cancer Research Horizons announced support for the Birmingham test-development project on 14 April 2025. The research focuses on a simpler monitoring approach; UnifAI's role is the digital reading and connected-result workflow.
